# Welcome to Pixotchi

**Pixotchi is a cozy farming game where everything happens on a real blockchain.** You mint a plant, keep it alive, grow a village on your own land, and compete with other players. Because every action is recorded onchain on [Base](https://www.base.org/), everything you own and everything you earn is verifiably yours.

There is no separate game server deciding who wins. Points, lifetimes, buildings, rewards: all of it lives in public smart contracts that anyone can inspect.

## What makes it special

* **Real rewards.** Plants accumulate points (PTS), and points earn a share of an ETH rewards pool funded by SEED trading activity. Grow well, earn ETH.
* **Truly onchain.** Watering, upgrading, attacking, claiming: every core action is a transaction on Base. No hidden mechanics, no server-side balancing you can't see.
* **Made for your pocket.** Pixotchi runs as a Mini App inside the Base App and Farcaster, and as a mobile-first web app at [mini.pixotchi.tech](https://mini.pixotchi.tech). Most actions are gas-sponsored for smart-wallet users, so playing feels like a normal mobile game.
* **Easy to join.** Sign in with just an email (a wallet is created for you), with the Base App, or with any wallet you already use. (A built-in Solana bridge exists too; it's temporarily disabled.)
* **A living world.** Public chat, daily missions and streaks, monthly leaderboards, an in-game AI helper, and a community that has been growing since early 2023.

## The philosophy

Pixotchi is a long-term, independently built project, not a seasonal hype game. The team launched SEED with zero team allocation, runs every asset-touching mechanic onchain in public view, and designs every system to be sustainable: tokens spent in the game are largely burned, rewards come from real activity rather than inflation, and every balance change happens in public, onchain.
