PIXOTCHI Token
Creator Coin Launch Blueprint
Disclaimer
This document describes the current design and intended role of the $PIXOTCHI Creator Coin within the Pixotchi ecosystem. Certain mechanics, parameters, or integrations may evolve over time as the product develops and market conditions change.
Pixotchi remains an actively evolving onchain game. As such, elements of the token economy, reward structures, and gameplay integrations described below may be refined in the future.
Pixotchi in a Nutshell
Pixotchi is an onchain Tamagotchi-style game where your NFT begins as a pot and grows into a plant through care and attention.
Players water, fertilize, and nurture their plants to earn points, which translate directly into Ethereum rewards funded by a 2% trading volume pool.
The game expands far beyond the core plant mechanic through a broader ecosystem that includes:
Land ownership
Building upgrades
Staking mechanics
Arcade mini-games
Quests
Competitive leaderboards
Strategic resource management
Players can stake SEED tokens to earn LEAF, a non-tradable ERC-20 token used to upgrade land buildings and unlock production capabilities.
The core gameplay loop revolves around consistent plant care, strategic upgrades, and long-term participation, rewarding players for dedication and engagement over time.
Why $PIXOTCHI Exists
Pixotchi is fundamentally a product-driven ecosystem, not a speculative token project.
While creator coins were originally designed for influencers, Pixotchi adapts the model for onchain gaming by integrating the creator coin directly into the game economy.
The $PIXOTCHI token enables:
New gameplay mechanics
Expanded economic layers
Additional reward structures
Long-term funding for development
Rather than existing as a standalone token, $PIXOTCHI operates alongside the existing SEED and LEAF system, strengthening the overall ecosystem.
Objectives of the Token
The introduction of $PIXOTCHI supports several long-term goals:
Increase player engagement and visibility
Strengthen the SEED-based game economy
Introduce additional utility without inflating existing resources
Create sustainable revenue streams for ongoing development
Align Pixotchi with emerging onchain market trends while defining its own narrative
Market Context
Several ecosystem factors influenced the decision to introduce a creator coin:
Liquidity Access
The SEED token liquidity pool is primarily on BaseSwap, limiting exposure to traders who primarily use larger DEXs such as Uniswap. A creator coin expands accessibility and trading activity.
No Team Allocation in SEED
The original SEED launch intentionally included no team allocation, which restricted the ability to fund certain incentives, liquidity programs, and player reward mechanisms.
The creator coin structure introduces a controlled allocation that can be used to support ecosystem growth.
Base Ecosystem Direction
The Base ecosystem has shown strong focus on creator coins and social-driven tokens. Integrating a creator coin allows Pixotchi to participate in that broader ecosystem while maintaining its gaming identity.
Tokenomics
Total Supply
1,000,000,000 $PIXOTCHI Fixed supply.
Distribution
50% Public Supply Immediately tradable.
50% Creator Allocation (Pixotchi) Vested linearly over 5 years.
Zora Fee Revenue
1% of all $PIXOTCHI trading fees on Zora are paid directly to Pixotchi in $ZORA tokens, starting from the first trade after launch.
These revenues are used to support ecosystem sustainability.
Launch Overview
$PIXOTCHI launched through the Zora Creator Coin framework.
To mitigate bot activity and sniping at launch, the exact launch timing was initially communicated in-game, prioritizing the existing player base.
Following launch, the token was added to Poet’s Public Cabal group, increasing visibility and enabling revenue sharing within the cabal network.
This strategy helped:
Reactivate interest around the Pixotchi ecosystem
Introduce new users to the game
Increase participation ahead of future airdrops and rewards
Airdrop Program
Initial Airdrop
An initial airdrop was distributed to existing Pixotchi players.
The eligibility criteria were determined internally and not publicly disclosed to prevent inorganic farming behavior.
Ongoing Distribution
The 500M vested supply provides a predictable distribution pool that can be used for future player rewards.
This allows Pixotchi to distribute tokens periodically through mechanisms such as:
Gameplay rewards
Seasonal events
Competitive leaderboards
Ecosystem incentives
Typical distribution ranges may fall within 1–2M $PIXOTCHI per month or quarter, depending on ecosystem conditions.
Utility of $PIXOTCHI
$PIXOTCHI complements the existing economy rather than replacing it.
SEED → gameplay progression
LEAF → building upgrades and production
PIXOTCHI → ecosystem utility and advanced features
Several features are enabled or enhanced by holding or spending $PIXOTCHI.
Cosmetic Customization
Themes and other visual customization options.
Advanced Game Functions
Access to quality-of-life mechanics such as:
Advanced dashboards
Bulk transactions
Automated management actions
These may require holding a certain amount of $PIXOTCHI.
Governance
Once the game reaches 100+ active players, $PIXOTCHI may be used for governance voting through platforms such as Snapshot.
Exclusive Gameplay Content
Future features may include:
New buildings
New upgrade paths
Additional land elements
Advanced gameplay mechanics
These may require spending $PIXOTCHI tokens, which are burned, introducing deflationary pressure.
Why $PIXOTCHI Demand Matters
Sustained demand for $PIXOTCHI enables several important mechanisms.
SEED Buybacks
Revenue generated from Zora trading fees can be used to perform SEED token buybacks.
This strengthens:
The treasury
Player reward pools
The long-term stability of the ecosystem
Important:
SEED buybacks are funded exclusively from Zora fee revenue and not from the creator allocation, preventing inflationary pressure on $PIXOTCHI.
Expanded Reward Systems
$PIXOTCHI introduces a liquid reward asset that can be used in:
Quests
Arcade mini-games
Leaderboard competitions
Seasonal events
It may also eventually become a reward for staking SEED, alongside LEAF.
The Pixotchi Token Trinity
The Pixotchi ecosystem operates through three interconnected tokens:
SEED
The primary gameplay token, used for staking and core economic flows.
LEAF
A non-tradable utility token used for upgrading buildings and enabling production.
PIXOTCHI
A liquid ecosystem token powering advanced features, governance, incentives, and economic expansion.
Together, these three tokens form a layered economic system designed to balance:
Gameplay progression
Resource production
Liquid incentives
Long-term ecosystem sustainability
Long-Term Vision
Pixotchi aims to become one of the first onchain games to meaningfully integrate creator coins into gameplay systems, rather than treating them as purely social or speculative assets.
Because Pixotchi is open source, the utility of the token ecosystem can continue to exist even in the unlikely scenario that the core project ceases development.
By integrating $PIXOTCHI alongside SEED and LEAF, Pixotchi establishes a sustainable multi-token economy designed to:
Reward players
Drive long-term engagement
Fund ongoing development
Introduce a new model for creator coins within gaming
In this sense, $PIXOTCHI may be better understood not simply as a creator coin — but as an ecosystem coin for onchain games.
