# Economy & Tokens

SEED, LEAF, and PIXOTCHI: how the game uses each token, where rewards come from, and which values can change.

Pixotchi runs on a three-token system where each token has one clear job, and the app uses public smart contracts on Base for token transfers and gameplay payments.

| Flow                          | What happens                                                                                                                                 |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Taxable SEED trades           | Current fee split: 2% revenue sharing, 2% team, 1% liquidity. Exemptions and recognized pairs matter.                                        |
| Eligible SEED plant purchases | A configured portion is burned; land mints and other SEED uses follow different payment rules.                                               |
| SEED staking                  | Accrues LEAF at the current reward ratio; withdrawing does not require a fixed lock-up period.                                               |
| LEAF upgrades                 | Spend and burn LEAF to build or upgrade. Obtain LEAF through staking, rewards, trades, or transfers.                                         |
| PIXOTCHI utility              | Pays for supported speed-ups, troop training, batch actions, and casino features. Some payments go to a dead address; bets use reward pools. |
| Creator-fee revenue           | Can support ecosystem funding and discretionary buybacks; it is not a promised return to token holders.                                      |
