# How to Get SEED

Get SEED through the in-app swap or a compatible external route, and review token tax, minimum received, slippage, and the contract address.

## The easy way: swap in-app

Open the **Swap** tab in [the game](https://mini.pixotchi.tech) and trade ETH (or USDC) for SEED in one tap. The in-app swap:

* Uses KyberSwap aggregation for supported routes and a BaseSwap route where configured; no route guarantees the best price across every venue.
* handles the 5% SEED tax and slippage automatically, so the quote you see already accounts for it,
* supports smart-wallet bundles, so there's no separate approval dance.

Smart-wallet users barely need this page at all: **ETH mode** lets you pay for mints and items directly in ETH, swapping behind the scenes in the same transaction.

## Other places to trade

* **Original BaseSwap pool:** the [SEED/WETH contract](https://basescan.org/address/0xAA6a81A7df94DAb346e2d677225caD47220540C5) is an onchain pool. The former baseswap.fi website showed a parked domain page at this review and is no longer listed here as a trading destination. Use the in-app swap or a compatible aggregator.

**Check transfer-tax compatibility.** SEED charges tax on qualifying trades. The in-app swap supports this behavior. Uniswap V3 does not support fee-on-transfer tokens, but that is not a blanket statement about every Uniswap version or route. Check an external venue’s current support and minimum received before trading.

## If you're swapping manually

Do not add 5% again if an external quote already includes the token tax. Check whether the displayed output is gross or net, then review minimum received and price impact. The in-app swap accounts for the configured 5% SEED tax and a separate 0.75% market-slippage allowance; a changing quote or unsupported route can still require a retry.
