# Wallets & Sign-In

Every way to sign in to Pixotchi: email login, Base smart wallets, external wallets, Farcaster Mini App, and the Solana bridge, plus how gas sponsorship works.

Pixotchi supports email login through Privy, Sign in with Base, and supported wallet or Mini App connections. Solana sign-in is available only when the bridge is enabled.

## Choose your door

**Best for: complete beginners.**

Tap **Continue with Privy** and sign in with your email. A secure, self-custodial wallet is created for you automatically. No seed phrases to write down, nothing to install.

* Your wallet works everywhere in the game immediately.
* You can **export your wallet** later from the profile menu if you ever want to use it in another app. You own it, not Pixotchi.
* You can also use Privy to connect an external wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, and others).

{% tab title="Sign in with Base" %}
**Best for: the smoothest experience.**

Tap **Sign in with Base** to connect a Base Account, a smart wallet from Coinbase. You'll confirm a quick, free signature ("Sign in to Pixotchi") to prove it's you.

Why it's the recommended way to play:

* **Gas sponsorship.** Eligible game transactions can be sponsored when your wallet and the paymaster service support them. Review the wallet’s gas estimate before confirming.
* **One-tap bundles.** Approvals and actions combine into single transactions: mint in one tap, buy 10 items in one tap.
* **ETH mode.** With a supported smart wallet, pay ETH for SEED-priced plant mints, land mints, care items, fences, and plant renames. The swap and purchase are bundled. Staking, casino bets, and JESSE-priced TYJ mints use their own payment flows.

{% tab title="Coinbase Wallet / Farcaster" %}
**Best for: mobile players.**

Open **Pixotchi Mini** in Coinbase Wallet (formerly Base App) or a supported Farcaster client. The client can provide its wallet connection; complete any connection or authentication prompt shown.

You also get:

* Push notifications (plant-health alerts) delivered natively.
* One-tap sharing of your mints to the feed.
* Bundled transactions and sponsored gas are available only when supported by the connected wallet and service.

**Availability varies.** If Continue with Solana is absent, bridge access is disabled. Use an EVM sign-in option and check the [official channels](/links.md) for availability updates.

**Best for: Solana-native players** (when live).

How it works when enabled: tap **Continue with Solana** to sign in with Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack. Pixotchi creates a **Twin**, a smart account on Base that your Solana wallet controls, and bridges your SOL into the game automatically when you act.

When enabled, the bridge supports eligible plant mints and care purchases, plant ETH claims, and plant renaming. It does not provide the full EVM feature set.

Lands, buildings, arcade games, fences, revives, and kills require an EVM wallet. **Setup Bridge Access**, when requested, authorizes supported bridge actions; it does not unlock those unsupported features. Review the SOL quote and fees before confirming.

## Gas sponsorship <a href="#gas-mostly-free-by-design" id="gas-mostly-free-by-design"></a>

The app requests sponsorship for eligible actions when its paymaster is enabled. Availability depends on the action, wallet capabilities, and sponsor service. Your wallet’s transaction review shows whether you must pay gas.

**Plant ETH claims are not sponsored by the app.** Keep enough ETH to cover the gas shown by your wallet.

A sponsorship failure can require a retry or an unsponsored transaction. Check the transaction status and wallet prompt before trying again.

## Switching accounts

Use the login screen or profile menu to switch accounts. Check the connected address after switching: different wallet accounts can hold different plants, lands, token balances, and stakes.

**Safety basics:** Pixotchi will never DM you first, never ask for your seed phrase, and the team never needs remote access to your wallet. The only official app URL is [mini.pixotchi.tech](https://mini.pixotchi.tech).
