Minting Plants & Strains
The five Pixotchi plant strains with live prices, supplies, and how minting works, including ETH mode and free claims.
Each plant is an NFT on Base. Strains have different artwork, prices, payment tokens, and configured mint caps. Most use SEED; TYJ uses JESSE.

The original. Sold out: all 10,000 minted. Only obtainable second-hand.
Taki, 20 SEED

Every newborn plant starts with 24 hours of TOD, zero PTS, and level 1. The strain affects looks and collectibility; care mechanics are identical for all.
Ways to mint
Standard: approve the selected strain’s payment token if required, then mint. Supported smart wallets can bundle the approval and purchase.
ETH mode: smart-wallet users can pay directly in ETH. The app swaps ETH to SEED and mints in one atomic bundle. (SEED-priced strains only.)
From Solana, when enabled: supported strains can be minted through the bridge’s Twin account. Use the Mint options actually available to your connected wallet.
Free claim: from time to time, Pixotchi offers a free plant (plus starter bonuses) to users verified with Base Verify. If a claim campaign is live, you'll see it right in the Mint tab.
What minting does with your SEED
Minting is one of the game's main token sinks: 70% of the SEED you pay is burned forever, and 30% funds rewards and operations. (For TYJ, the same split applies to JESSE, burned to a dead address.) Details in Economy Overview.
After the mint
Plant names must be 2–10 UTF-8 bytes after trimming. Emoji and some non-English characters use more than one byte. The rename dialog shows the current price and validates the name before submission.
